I really like to bake. I really like to eat what I bake!
This is the best and easiest scone recipe I have found. It is from Margaret Fulton’s Encyclopedia of Food and Cookery. I have the first edition, so I don’t know if it’s in the new one.
It’s a bit of messy business as you have to rub in the butter into the flour, but well worth it.
We had friends over for afternoon tea and they went down a treat!
Not terribly good for the waistline, but yummy all the same.
Go make some scones. Load them with jam and cream and enjoy!
