Hi, I’m Michelle, a wife and mum who loves to make pretty things.
With a big family and a background in administration, I also love to organize.
I’ve been noticing lately, in a number of conversations I’ve had with designers and makers, that there are lots of busy working mums in the quilting/sewing/fabric community. Women who, I’m sure, would love some help with the day-to-day administrative tasks that a small business requires, freeing up time to do what they do best.
So I would like to introduce you to my new Virtual Assistant business:
SEW SORTED – Virtual Support for the Sewing Industry
I am very excited about this project because it means I can put to good use my background in administration and management, and provide help to the sewing community at the same time. My time management skills have been honed during my years as a home-schooling mum, and I am well organised, communicate well with others, and love learning new things.
Some of the services I provide include:
- Pattern testing management (including such things as finding and vetting testers, disseminating patterns, collating and making corrections, promoting pattern on IG, etc)
- Proofreading/editing (blog posts, newsletters, patterns, etc)
- Social media assistance (Instagram, Pinterest)
- Giveaway management
- Responding to blog comments, and
- Any other administrative tasks that need to be done.
I would love to work with a small number of women looking for administrative help with those big (or small!) day-to-day tasks. This will provide you with more time to do what you truly love to do!!
